Privacy policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
In short
None does not collect, store or share any personal data. The app does not even have internet access, so it cannot send anything anywhere.
Photos
When you set up a button, you can take a photo with your device’s camera app or pick one with Android’s photo picker. None only receives the photo you choose, makes a smaller copy for the button and keeps it inside the app. It cannot see the rest of your gallery.
Microphone
The microphone is used only while you record a button’s sound in the configuration screen. The recording is saved inside the app as that button’s audio. None never listens in the background.
What stays on your device
Buttons, photos, recordings and settings (such as the language) are stored in the app’s private storage. They are not included in Android backups and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
Backup file
If you use Settings › Backup › Export, None writes a .zip file with your buttons, photos and recordings to the place you choose. From then on that file is yours: None does not upload it anywhere. Import only reads the file you select.
Permissions
Microphone: to record button sounds; Android asks for it the first time you record. None does not request internet, camera, storage, location, contacts or any other permission.
Children
None is designed to be set up by parents, caregivers or therapists, and used by the child to communicate. Because the app collects no data at all, no information is collected from children or from anyone else.

Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. Questions can be sent through the project’s issue tracker: github.com/gmoqa/none/issues.
